Until 1974, the Norte Pienero region accounted for 30-50% of the world's coffee production. Then followed 2 years in which frost took almost the entire harvest, causing the area to be abandoned. Since 2010, production has been taken up on a smaller scale, focusing on quality over quantity. Dark roasted coffee with chocolate tones.
